INDUSTRY GUIDE
Set up salon appointment software step by step
Start with one working day in your salon. Configure the services you sell, the staff who deliver them and the resources they share before inviting customers to book online.

1. Define services with actual durations
Create separate services for a cut, blow-dry and colour appointment. Enter the time that should be reserved in the calendar and the price charged to the customer. Combined services need a duration that covers the combined work.
For example, a 30-minute cut and a 90-minute colour service fit different gaps. These are planning examples, not default timings. Use your team’s real service durations and account for preparation and cleanup.
2. Assign eligible staff and working hours
Choose the people who can perform each service. Without an assigned staff member, a service may not offer bookable times. Configure their working days and record time off rather than assuming everyone follows the business’s full opening hours.
For staff app access, use the email address of the Google or Apple account the employee will use. Send the invitation only to that employee; the owner should not accept it with their own account.
3. Model shared capacity
Add a room, chair or shared device to the resource pool and connect it to the relevant service. Do not duplicate a single physical resource for each member of staff. Two free employees do not create two free rooms.
Before accepting bookings, test overlapping services using the same resource. Also check a service that would run past closing time and an appointment on a staff day off.
4. Test and then share the link
Copy the customer booking link from link sharing. Open it outside your signed-in account and complete the selection of service, specialist and time. Check the appointment in the calendar before posting the link on your website.
During the first week, enter phone bookings in the same system and compare scheduled time with actual work. Correct durations based on what happens in your salon. Account and plan selection start in the mobile app; the web panel uses the same account.
